CARIBBEAN AMERICAN HERITAGE AWARDS

America's greatness lies in the diversity of those who have made this country home. Caribbean immigrants have contributed in every facet of American life from John Russworm, first Black newspaper editor to Al Roker, television weatherman to Malcolm X, civil rights activist. The Caribbean American Heritage Awards were established in 1994 to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to US society, promoted Caribbean culture and interests in the US, as well as to Friends of the Caribbean.

Congratulations to Our 2009 Honorees
